ARKTIKUS

Kindle and Softback now on Amazon

Arto Kessell is an exobiologist. He has set up base, alone, on the ice world, Arktikus. But he is stranded, his lander developed a fault and crashed. He would have to wait for a rescue mission. Meanwhile, in orbit the scans had shown an interesting signature of a small colony of lifeforms. He is there to investigate. They existed. He calls them Snow Arkites; a white-furred one-eyed animal with paws more like a reptilian claw. Arto decided to trap one to examine it fully, but it did not go according to plan. And besides the Arkites something else appeared, an ephemeral will of the wisp which Arto called the shadow. And the shadow was more than it seemed. It began to interfere with Arto's mission. It rescued Arto's captured Arkite but returned it in a very different condition. From that moment on everything changed. And it changed yet again when he was eventually rescued.

 P F Damsberg

I have had a varied life and career, for the most part not linked to writing. I began writing a few years before I retired. Whilst investigating my family tree I became intrigued with the life of one of my great uncles who was born in the USA. Later, with the family, he returned to the UK, and worked in the coal mines of Gloucestershire and South Wales, before serving in the Somerset Light Infantry in WW1, winning the Military Medal. Based on his life I wrote, 'Silas Daniel Dyer'. This encouraged me to believe I could write a more novels – even though not likely not become in any way renown.

Calling upon my work experiences (including as an imagery analyst in the RAF, a Finance Manager for businesses and charities, and an owner of my own hospitality businesses in the UK and Australia) together with my imagination and love for mystery, science, and fantasy, I have written a range of books in different genres: Fantasy, Crime, Science Fiction, Historical Biography, and Short Stories.
